POWER METER SOCKET

Power Meter Socket is a monitoring and testing instrument which determines the power consumption of a connected appliance and the cost of the electricity consumed.

Resetting

If an abnormal display appears or the buttons produce no response, the instrument must be reset. To do this, press the RESET button.

Display Mode

The LCD screen will automatically start and reset to MODEL 1,  to transfer from one mode to another, press the FUNCTION button.

Mode 1: Time/ Watt/ Cost Display

  •  The top line displays how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. The display will show up to 00:59 seconds and the convert to minutes (00:01), after 60 minutes the display shows 01:00 as hours and minutes. After 24 hours it re-sets to 00.00
  •  The 2nd line displays the current power being used, which ranges from 0.0W – 9999W
  • The 3rd line displays the current electricity cost which ranges in 0.00cost – 9999cost. It will keep on 0.00cost before setting rate without other figures.

Mode 2: Time/ Cumulative Electrical Usage Display

  •  The top line displays how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 2nd line shows cumulative energy usage, the range is 0.000KWH – 9999KWH
  •  The 3rd line shows days, the range is 0 – 9999days

Mode 3: Time/ Voltage/ Frequency Display

  •  The top line displays how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 2nd line displays the voltage, the range is 0.0V – 9999V
  •  The 3rd line displays the current frequency, the range is 0.0Hz – 9999Hz

Mode 4: Time/ Current/ Power Factor Display

  •  The top line displays how long the ddevice being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 2nd line displays the load current being used, the range is 0.000A – 9999A
  •  The 3rd line displyas the power factor, the range is 0.00PF – 1.00PF

Mode 5: Time/ Minimum Power Display

  •  The top line displays how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 2nd line displays the minimum power, the range is 0.0W – 9999W
  • The 3rd line displyas “Lo” without other figures.

Mode 6: Time/ Maximal Power Display

  •  The top line displyas how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 2nd line shows the maximum power, the range is 0.0W – 9999W
  •  The 3nd line shows “HI” without other figures.

Mode 7: Time/ Price Display

  •  The top line displays how long the device being monitored has been connected to the power source. (as described in Mode 1)
  •  The 3nd line shows the cost which ranges in 0.00COST/KWh – 99.99COST/KWh

Overload Display: When the power socket connects the load over 3680W, LCD on second line displyas “OVERLOAD” to warn the users.

Setting Mode

  1.  Electricity Price Setting
  •   Press and hold the COST button more than 3 seconds, the bottom display will flash 0.00
  •  Press FUNCTION button and the digit on the left hand will flash
  •  Use UP and DOWN button to change the value and press FUNCTION button to move onto the next digit
  •  Repeat the process for all the digits and press COST button to exit and save the values
  •  Plug device into power, and connect the appliance.

Supplemental Information:

  •  Mode 7 will directly occur while press down button “cost”
  •  “UP” / “DOWN” will not function unless using “Setting Mode”
